Dairy Free homemade Irish Cream Whiskey

Irish cream whiskey

If there was one thing I missed during my International travels, it was a good old glass of Baily's Irish cream.  Baily's is one of my favorite versatile adult beverages and can be used in coffee, brownies and other desserts ( or heck, just drink it straight).  

The original version of this recipe carries a whopping 600 calories per glass so I put my nourished spin on this creating a dairy free version and cutting the calories by more than half. Enjoy! 

1 Cup fat free half and half (Non Dairy: 1 Cup Cashew or Almond Milk) 
1 2/3 Cup Irish Whiskey (You can also use a flavored carmel whiskey for added sweetness)
1/4 Cup firm silkened tofu
1/4 Cup honey
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
1 tablespoon Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon Almond extract

Throw all ingredients in a blender (with a few ice-cubes if serving right away) and voila! 2 mason jars worth of a delicious side of adult beverages.  For added fancy you can put in a cinnamon stick.  Refrigerate.
